The private network for professional women.

Membership FAQs

  • Our members embody the essence of authentic connections, empowerment, and a robust capacity to contribute to the Monday Girl community. Please see our full membership requirements on our criteria page here.

  • The exclusive community for next-generation women leaders is designed for ambitious, driven, and forward-thinking women who are making a significant impact in their respective fields. This includes professionals, entrepreneurs, and executives who are dedicated to empowering one another and cultivating a supportive network of like-minded peers.

The top member industries in this exclusive community may span across various sectors, including but not limited to:

    • Technology and innovation

    • Finance and banking

    • Marketing, communications, and public relations

    • Media and entertainment

    • Legal and consultancy services

    • Non-profit and social impact organizations

    • Business and entrepreneurship

    • Arts and creative industries

    • Real estate

This diverse mix of industries allows members to engage in meaningful conversations, share insights, and collaborate on projects that foster both personal and professional growth. The focus of the community is to provide an exclusive platform that connects and empowers the next generation of women leaders.

  • Membership may not be suitable for those who:

    • Have not yet gained 3-5 years of professional experience in their respective industries.

    • Career, wellness or life coaches who primarily seek to promote or solicit their services, rather than focusing on genuine networking, collaboration, and support.

    • Professionals who view the membership solely as a platform for self-promotion, without actively participating in the community or contributing to the growth and success of fellow members.

    • Individuals who join with the sole intention of directly asking members or mentors for job opportunities. While landing a job through career resources, mentorship, and networking is a potential benefit of our community, it is not something we guarantee or encourage members to request explicitly.

    • Individuals who consistently engage in competitive or negative behaviour, as opposed to fostering a supportive and empowering environment for all members.

    • Professionals with a history of breaching confidentiality, trust, or privacy within professional networks or communities.

    • Those who are not committed to attending events, workshops, or networking opportunities, and therefore cannot fully engage with and benefit from the community experience.

Monday Girl membership aims to cultivate a supportive and empowering environment, centered around genuine connections, collaboration, and shared growth. Individuals who do not align with these values or objectives may not be the right fit for our community.

  • Monday Girl’s top priority is maintaining the integrity of the community and ensuring members receive the best onboarding experience. For that reason, we open applications a few times a year to ensure the quality of your membership.

During times when acceptances are paused, you can still submit an application to be considered for the next acceptance period and registration dates.

  • The application form takes 5 minutes which you’ll be prompted to submit info on your professional experience. You can submit an application for membership here.

If you’ve been referred by a current Monday Girl Member, please remember to list their name as your application will move to the front of the line.

If you qualify for membership, we’ll send you an official acceptance email typically within 1 week of applications closing to join. Payment will only be taken upon your membership acceptance.

  • If your application is not accepted, we encourage you to reapply in the future and to follow us on social media or sign up for our free newsletter to stay up-to-date with our events.

We also invite applicants to take a look at our membership requirements here in order to have an understanding of how we vet applicants for membership.

If an applicant does not meet our criteria for membership, we encourage them to reapply again for the next membership registration opening.

We also encourage individuals who were not accepted into Monday Girl to explore a few of our recommendations and ultimately find a community that aligns with their personal and professional goals:

The Villij - A wellness club designed to help women of colour nurture their mental, emotional and physical well-being

Working Women Community Centre - A women-focused settlement agency that provides support to newcomers in Toronto.

Lean In Canada - A community of professional women who support each other in achieving their career goals.

The Forum - A Canadian-based charity that educates, mentors, and connects self-identified women entrepreneurs.

Women in Capital Markets - A non-profit organization that advocates for the advancement of women in the Canadian financial industry.

  • Monday Girl members receive exclusive invites to private Member Meetups such as brunch, happy hour, workout classes, and more. Please keep in mind that meetups are ticketed at an additional cost to the membership, to accommodate any meetup costs such as food and beverage.

We host member meetups a few times per year in the following cities:

Calgary, Chicago, Halifax, Miami, Montreal, New York City, Ottawa, San Francisco, Toronto, Vancouver

Tickets typically range from $0-50 depending on the event type or venue and are first come, first serve. We add new meetups regularly to ensure there are enough spots for all members.

We add new cities once we see there are enough members located in an area.

Our Monday Girl City Ambassadors also lead our Meetups so you’ll always have a point of contact at Meetup events.

  • In-person events are ticketed at an additional cost to cover venue and experience costs such as food, beverage, service charges/gratuity, instructor fees (if applicable to the meetup), and more.

We charge a nominal fee for member meetup tickets to ensure a committed attendance and to enhance the overall experience for all members. In the past, we observed high no-show rates at free events, which was disappointing for many attendees. By charging a small ticket fee, we have significantly reduced the no-show rates, ensuring a better turnout and a more valuable experience for everyone involved.

Tickets typically range from $10-50 depending on the event type or venue. Meetup tickets are first come, first serve and we add new meetups regularly to ensure there are enough spots for all members.
